This flaming stallion leaping headlong into the crashing waves, symbolically references the heroes journey; to suffer the slings and arrows of living life free to its fullest potential. However, all journeys must eventually end extinguishing the flame, returning our hero to the vastness of the ocean from which life has sprung, bringing unification with the eternal.
The centaur represents the constellation of Sagittarius, and marks the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, like the ocean, also gives life as it propagates the stars within our purview including our own life giving sun. Jupiter, the ruler of the sign of Sagittarius, is a planet of expansion and adventure, seeding potential into the future, itself a fledgling sun.
The markings on the horse reference the storms upon the planet Jupiter that fuel this expansion. As the age of Pisces, also traditionally ruled by Jupiter, draws to a close so does the influence of this expression on hour earthly realm as a time of contraction approaches. As we grow old and liberate ourselves of old ways of thinking, habits, and inefficiency, so must the Aquarian waters wash over us cleansing away the extraneous debris that no longer serves us.
Humanity is in the midst of a ritual of transmutation, a time to find our personal strength, self control, discarding old ways of wasteful recklessness, letting go of a reliance on an authority to protect us, and step into our personal power brought on by millions of years of evolution, that we may combine this power and create a new and better world.
